Talking Across the Lines

Michael and Carrie Kline have been documenting the oral histories culture of Appalachia and giving a voice to many who have not traditionally had one. They have documented everything from African-American histories and gospel music to the impact of coal mining, and more recently fracking, on rural Appalachian communities.
